About Attorney Max Antony

Max started his legal career at a large law firm in Dallas, Texas, where he represented massive insurance companies in defending injury cases filed against trucking companies. He then returned home to continue his defense practice at one of the largest and oldest law firms in Louisiana, again representing big insurance companies. However, Max eventually had enough of defending “Goliath” against “David.”
In 2017, Max founded Antony Law Group in Leesville, Louisiana, with the sole mission of serving individuals who have suffered serious injuries or lost loved ones due to wrongful death. He is dedicated to securing the financial compensation his clients deserve.
Max leverages the skills, experience, and knowledge he gained while defending large insurance companies to advocate for local individuals in complex personal injury cases. He handles a wide range of accident and injury claims, including big truck accidents, car accidents, motorcycle accidents, product liability cases, chemical exposure cases, wrongful death claims, and other catastrophic injury cases.
He believes that a focused legal practice, outstanding client service, and a deep understanding of personal injury law provide his clients with the best possible representation. Max serves Leesville, DeRidder, Fort Polk, Many, and all of West Central Louisiana and East Texas. He is licensed to practice law in both Louisiana and Texas.
Born in Alexandria, Louisiana, Max is the son of Max Edwin Antony and Quita Thompson Antony. His father, a 1976 graduate of Leesville High School, had a 40-year career with Shell Oil Company working offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. His mother coached basketball in Vernon Parish for over 20 years and was inducted into the Louisiana High School Sports Hall of Fame.
Max’s two older sisters, Ashley Antony Robinson and Katie Antony Varnado, played basketball at Anacoco High School and later competed at the Division I level—Ashley at Louisiana Tech and Katie at LSU. In 2020, both were inducted into the Louisiana High School Sports Hall of Fame.
Max credits his work ethic, grit, tenacity, and strong core values to his family. These values have been the foundation of his legal career and reputation.
He graduated from Anacoco High School as Valedictorian with a 4.00 GPA while excelling in basketball and baseball. He then attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM), where he played one year of college baseball before shifting his focus entirely to academics.
After graduating summa cum laude from ULM with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a 4.00 GPA, Max earned his law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas, which was ranked among the U.S. News Top 50 Best Law Schools at the time. He graduated cum laude, ranking in the top 26% of his class.
Today, Max has a wonderful family of his own. He is married to Megan Dowden Antony, a registered nurse from Vernon Parish. Together, they have three beautiful children—Stella, Lilah, and Max Theo. They live in Anacoco, Louisiana, on Vernon Lake.
